Letter of Intent
Dear Executive Producer,
My name is Alisha McCain and I am a Senior at The College of New Jersey, majoring in Communications with a concentration in Film/Television. Throughout my years in college, I have gained extensive experience and skills in the Film and Television field. I am writing to express my interest in a position at your Production Company.
I am a motivated individual who has excelled in all projects put before me. For the past two years I have been at my current position at The Syndicate,a video production company, in that time I have climbed the ranks and I have gone from Intern to Assistant Director. Here I have worked on documentaries,short films, commercials, music videos, and various video projects. At this company I was able to build my video production skills and strengthen my leadership, administration, and teamwork skills while adding my own personal creativity to all projects I have worked on at The Syndicate. With what I have shared with you this is why your Production Company can benefit with me on your team.

Biography
I was raised in Southern New Jersey where I live with my parents. I also, have two older brothers whom I adore. I very much appreciate my parents because they have supported me in all things I have wanted to do in all my life. When I was in the third grade and wanted to be a Doctor they bought me a medical book. In the fourth grade I wanted to be a greek mythologist and they allowed me to study greek mythology. In the fifth grade I wanted to play piano and they bought me a Grand piano. When I was in high school and decided to be an Obsessive Compulsive Disorder specialist you guessed it they supported me.
So when I entered my sophomore year at The College of New Jersey and changed my major from Psychology to Communications to become an actor, you would think they would support me, but actually they didn't. I soon figured out why, when I realized I can't act. But my passion for filmmaking was still there. In fact, in the background through all the years growing up I have always been fascinated with Cinema. After taking a few Film courses at TCNJ I realized I wanted to be a Director,Producer, and Writer and that was something my parents agreed upon.
So as I set on my venture as an aspiring Director,Producer, and Writer I have learned so much about myself. For one I learned I have great administration and delagating skills. I love writing lists and organizing and realized I am great at assigning people, based on their abilities, at certain tasks they are best fit at doing. Which I think will make me a great Producer some day. Also, I believe I have a great vision and creativity that very few have and believe I can be a great Autuer director in this lifetime.
One thing I know for sure I am destined for great things in life. I hope by reading this you will want to be part of the greatness that will become of me.

Sample of Work
The following displays various examples of my demonstrated capabilities through video production projects.
While, working for The Syndicate, a video production company, I directed and edited this music video.
This is a short film I directed, edited, and co-wrote. This short film was made for Gospel United Ministries while I was Ministry Chair for the Drama Ministry.
A short film called The Last Flame I produced and co-edited in my Com 211-Motion Picture Production Class.
While, working for The Syndicate, a video production company, I directed and edited this music video.
Here is a media demo reel I edited of Howard Tate a Blues Legend while working for The Syndicate. Currently, I am working on a documentary on him. If you like what you see here, definately look out for the release of the documentary.

Work Experience
I have been able to utilize my Managerial and Speaking effectively skills when I worked for Target Corporation and New World Fashion.
At Target Corporation I worked as a Guest Experience Team Member where I was able to represent the company and talk to the guests about the current changes going on at the store. In this position, I was recognized at Target's Quarterly Recognition Luncheon for all their outstanding employees for my professionalism and exceptional work I was doing at Target. Due to this, in a short time of working there I was promoted to a Human Resource Team Member. Here, I was able to utilize my administration and multi-tasking skills.
At New World Fashion, a clothing store, that I have worked at for four years I went from Team member to Manager; and was able to utilize my leadership, communication, and financial management skills.

Leadership Experience
Gospel United Ministries
G.U.M. is a faith based organization designed to minister through community service and creative arts
Drama Chair "For His Viewing" 08-In this position, I wrote skits and made short films. Every year, we went on tour for missionary work and the Drama ministry ministered to the homeless, the youth and juvenile detention centers.
Tour Co-Chair08- In this position, me and my co-chair organized the annual missionary trip GUM makes every year. The year I helped organized the tour we went to Atlanta and South Carolina. There we had to the opportunity to minister to the elderly, children, and troubled teens.
A christian church located in Ewing,NJ.
Drama Head "Gospel Organized Drama"08-I headed the Drama ministry for FSI and put together plays and short films for the Church.
Video Ministry "New View" 09- I headed the Video ministry for FSI and recorded, edited, and published the sermons put forth by the Church.
In all of these positions, I truely understood the meaning of Leadership, which is to ultimately serve the people.
